THE CLINTONS

I liked the Clintons because they were Democrats. They could have been better. Hillary thinks she's going to be our nominee in 2008, but she's dreaming. Her stance on supporting Bush's war is a big blunder -- doesn't she know that 70% of the voting public thinks the Iraq war is indefensible?

Bill could have been more progressive, but what do you expect from some redneck jack-off from Arkansas? Still he was intelligent, unlike this banana eater we have now. Bill would never have made the colossal blunders that Bush specializes in. In fact, George Bush is probably the most unintelligent president of any country in history. You can fill a 9 x 11 page of paper with Bush's blunders listing just the ones in 2005. I mean, this guy is a talking, walking menace.

Bill's problem was keeping his fly zipped. Gore couldn't salute Bill's eight years because of it. Now we have Bush-lite Hillary in the senate, and Bill kissing ass with the Bush crime family.

GEORGE BUSH

I'll bet George Bush is glad 2005 is over. It wasn't a good year for bananas or swinging from the bars.

Let's review: Terri Schiavo--wrong. Social security--wrong. Cindy Sheehan--wrong. Katrina--wrong. FEMA--wrong. Iraq quagmire--wrong. Harriet Miers--wrong. Torture--wrong. DeLay innocence--wrong. Spying on Americans--wrong. Making Iraq a second Iran--wrong.

This happens when one of our dumbbells gets stuck in the White House. It happens when someone who belongs to the Know-Nothing Party ends up President. All we get is wrong decisions, wrong judgements, wrong ideas, wrong actions and criminal acts. Three more years of wrongs because we're not careful enough.

BROKAW AND KOPPEL

You're in your recliner watching the tube, listening to maybe Tom Brokaw or Ted Koppel. You think both of them are looking at the TV camera but they're not. They're reading another TV screen, giving you what they call "news."

Brokaw worked for NBC, you know, General Electric, Reagan's old TVchannel, you know, Jack Welch. Koppel worked for ABC, you know, Disney, some clown named Eisner. These two guys know nothing your neighbor doesn't know. They know squat, but they're famous, so they show up on Meet ThePress, you know, Tim Russert, another Welch flunky.

Tim got his marching orders from, guess who? Jack Welch. These three numbskulls analyze what's going on in Iraq: "Oh, Clinton would have invaded Iraq too," forgetting that Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. These Bushapologists are always comparing the chimpanzee with what "they" think, or want us to believe, Clinton would have done.

TV would be a comedy if it weren't so tragic.

JOHN KERRY

I'm not a great fan of John Kerry, but here's a short list of things that Kerry is better at than George Bush: Speaking English, Thinking, Telling the truth, More intelligent, More knowledgeable, More responsible, More combat experience, Knowing something, Handling Iraq, Handling war, Handling security, Protecting our Borders, Protecting our Ports, Protecting our airports, Protecting our chemical plants, Protecting our nuclear plants, Handling hurricanes, Keeping our air and water clean, staying away from cocaine and booze, Being more compassionate, and Having no cronies.

We had three presidential debates where Kerry clearly won, so what did we do ? Voted for the loser. Voting for the loser makes us losers. A nation of dummies, and our champion dummy has three more years to screw up, and believe me, he will.

WE'RE IN GREAT SHAPE

We're in great shape. We have fundamentalist Shiites, secular Shiites, fundamentalist Sunnis, secular Sunnies, and Kurds. The Kurds have 10,000 troops who have infiltrated all the militias belonging to all the above, who are aiming to grab east Turkey, and make a country called Kurdistan, which will be a different nation whose troops will kill their Iraqi buddies. Then, to top it all off, we have a turkey in the White House who doesn't understand not one whit of what he's done to create this mess.

As an American who can vote, all you can do is look at what this ignorant jerk has done. He has killed 2,178 American soldiers, wounded 17,000, and murdered 140,000 Iraqis -- all so he could strut around and call himself a "war president."

This jerk belongs in a padded cell right next to his mother. Look at the political party he belongs to. The American Republican Party is exactly what Bush would be a member of. It's a party that stands for everything we hate. I'm waiting to see this chimpanzee and his helpers frog-marched out in handcuffs facing their just desserts at the Hague.

COLIN POWELL

No West Pointer, Powell earned his Lt. commission in the ROTC, as a C-minus college student. Throughout his military career Powell strived to polish every apple, suckle every teat, and kiss every ass he could find.

In Vietnam he covered up My Lei. He hung in there with Reagan and Bush Sr, and finally showed his true colors by lying to the UN to tip the scales and take us into war. And now Powell is telling us our murderous moron can be excused when he spys on us.

Everyone over the age of 14 knows that Bush wants to spy on anti-war people and democrats. Bush wouldn't know a Muslim from a Baptist, and can't spell either one of them. Powell is smarting because his ex-chief of staff is standing up and reporting some truth while Powell is still polishing, suckling and kissing.

Now he's telling us Bush has the right to spy on our citizens. Yep. That sure sounds like Colin Powell.

ARLO GUTHERIE, A NATIONAL TREASURE

Halfway around the world tonight
In a strange and foreign land
A soldier packs his memories
As he leaves Afghanistan

And back home they don't know too much
There's just no way to tell
I guess you had to be there
For to know the that war was hell

And there won't be any victory parades
For those that's coming back
They'll fly them in at midnight
And unload the body sacks

And the living will be walking down
A long and lonely road
Because nobody seems to care
When a soldier makes it home

They'll say it wasn't easy
Just another job well done
As the government in Kabul falls
To the sounds of rebel guns

And the faces of the comrades
Being blown out of the sky
Leaves you bitter with the feeling
That they didn't have to die

Halfway around the world tonight
In a strange and foreign land
A soldier unpacks memories
That he saved from Vietnam

Back home they didn't know too much
There's just no way to tell
I guess you had to be there
For to know that war was hell

And there wasn't any big parades
For those who made it back
They flew them in at midnight
And unloaded all those sacks

And the living were left walking down
A long and lonely road
Because nobody seemed to care back then
When a soldier made it home

The night is coming quickly
And the stars are on their way
As I stare into the evening
Looking for the words to say

That I saw the lonely soldier
Just a boy that's far from home
And I saw that I was just like him
While upon this earth I roam

And there may not be any big parades
If I ever make it back
As I come home under cover
Through the world that can't keep track

Of the heroes who have fallen
Let alone the ones who won't
Which is why nobody seems to care
When a soldier makes it home.

THE GREAT BLUNDER

European polls show most people think we're in Iraq for three reasons: 1) Iraqi oil, 2) Mid-east toe-hold, and 3) The protection of Israel.

Actually, there were more reasons than that, and more reasoners. When Margeret Thatcher kicked Argentina's ass for the Falklands, every wing-nut was thrilled, and they looked at Iraq and it looked like a slam dunk. Bush wanted to be a commander-in-chief, Cheney wanted Halliburton to get work, and the neo-cons wanted to protect Israel.

Saddam looked easy, all they needed was a reason, so they arranged 9/11. I'm guessing Israel's Mossad helped. Saddam Hussein's secular Iraq was contesting Iran's ayatollahs in the mideast, which was to America's advantage, but our right-wing supreme court planted George W. Bush in the White House and, after 17,000 casualties and 100,000 murdered Iraq civilians and zillions of taxpayers' dollars, we end up with two Irans instead of one.

The idea was grab Iraq's oil, grab Iran's oil, kick Syria's ass for practice, grab Kuwait's oil, grab the United Arab Emirate's oil, and finally kill off the Bush family's friends, the Royal Saudis, and grab their oil. Then they were going to dump the 22nd amendment and make Bush President-For-Life.

It's easy, all you need is a Republican House and a Republican Senate, and a Republican supreme court. Well it was a plan, but the Resisters and the Insurgents are defeating our army and Iraq is becoming another Iran. The result is going to be a powerful Islamic state that will influence the total Mideast and really threaten Israel.

America is a great country, chockfull of dummies.

INSANITY

I studied Economics and Labor Law in school, so I'm not an expert in mental infirmities, but I have noticed some crazy ideologies in some people I came across in my life. Think about someone you know who is kind of mean, or cruel, or not empathetic or sympathetic to others, who shows indifference to others who are suffering, shows a disconnect to the human condition -- a stone hearted human.

I know a few. I think both Bush and Cheney are stone-hearted. I think people like that are insane. As a boy, Bush would stick firecrackers up frogs butts and blow them apart. I bet Cheney did the same as a kid. I think both of these two crazies are insane as hell. You can see that the GOP is as insane as their leaders. Look at Bill Frist. Look at Tom Delay. No question, both even look insane.

I agree with Al From of the Democratic Leadership Council, who says America is conservative. I hate his guts but I agree. Look at the ignorant chimpanzee leading America. How about the UAW auto workers endorsing Hackett, a lite republican for senate in Ohio, which is a disgrace as a state.

America is being led by an insane murderer, and auto workers who are facing unemployment are endorsing a candidate who will vote against their interets. A country that hates their Liberals deserves what they get, and what they will get is Fascism.

THE FAUX PRESIDENT

George W. Bush doesn't act like a president, he acts as if he were a Godfather of a Mafia family. The laws and the regulations that bind us to keep the keel even are ignored by both Bush and his appointed cronies. Aided and abetted by a trusting and naive congress, Bush invaded another country, operates a murderous occupation to steal their oil, and has the unmitigated gall to call it a war, while comparing himself to Winston Churchill.

Believe me, if Bush was in a real war, and not AWOL, he would be a cook. From lying through his teeth about WMDs to spying on Americans, to protecting criminals, and trashing our treaties, he has generated scorn on Americans and America, and he has three more years to keep on keeping on.

With the help of the RepublicanParty, in three years, Bush could have us back in 1890's. Republicans should beware -- three more years of Bush, and the repugs will be buried 40 feet down.

Don Phelps

BUSH AGAIN

Bush keeps referring to the "enemy" -- it's enemy this, and enemy that, all the time. Who the hell is the enemy? John Murtha, who talks to our generals, says only about 7% of the force shooting at our troops come from countries other than Iraq. That means 93% of those shooting at Americans are Iraqis. How many of them are really terrorists?

We know the resisters and insurgents are killing our troops. So, what's the difference between a resister and an insurgent? Does Bush know the difference, or is he just mouthing off about democracy and liberty etc? You know he couldn't ask for a warrant to "eavesdrop" because he wants to snoop, or "spy" on anti-war groups. He'd love to send Cindy Sheehan to Gitmo for life.

The picture is blurred in the USA. According to George the actor, we're in Iraq holding things together until the Iraqis are strong enough to control the enemy -- but he fails to point out the obvious -- they didn't have an enemy until we showed up.

This whole deal is based on bullshit. He says if we left, the terrorists would get control. But, he's kidding, because the terrorists will be lucky if they don't get hung by the Ayatollah. We had one Iran, now we have two.

Nice going Mr. Dipstick.

ORANGE COUNTY

Orange County had a special election on Tuesday. This right-wing county's Repukes were split, but our guy lost anyway because 80,000 democrats didn't bother to vote. On top of that Move-on, the DCCC, and other Demorgs left our Steve Young out there twisting in the wind. Why bother to register to vote, but not vote? Is this apathy, laziness, indifference? It's disgusting, what will it take -- stark starvation to lift these people off their butts ?

As to voting, Democrats are stupid when they don't, Republicans are stupid when they do.

Don Phelps

80,000 DEMOCRATS

I learned something recently. I'm a vocal anti-war, dyed-in-the-wool progressive, long-time fervent Democrat. Starting with Harry Truman, I have voted in every election that's been held in my adult life, and never knowingly voted for a Republican. I feel privileged to be allowed to vote for my choice; I hold that right to be sacred.

I was confused and dissatisfied to know that our elected people didn't agree with me on the war, I couldn't accept their silence and implied consent with Bush's vanity war. Well, I know now. Last Tuesday, the Orange county of California, Congressional District 48, had a special election. The Republican ticket was split, giving our Steve Young a great chance to win, but he lost.

Young lost because 80,000 Democrats didn't vote. If they had, Young would have won. They didn't vote. They were too busy, they had other stuff to do, they didn't give a damn, they were too lazy, they were too apathetic, they're a Goddam disgrace.

We should have a federal law that says you either vote or you get fined. I don't know why elected democrats hide. They can't rely on their base, they know that half of them will fail to vote, so they have to hope the true-blue will vote, and maybe pick up an Indie somewhere. Republicans vote, Democrats go shopping. I'm disgusted and ashamed.

There should be a law.

HOWARD DEAN

I read that 68% of the electorate are anti-Iraq war. This means that, besides we 18% progressives, the rest want the troops out too. The 50% remainder want the troops out of Iraq. That means that Congress is well aware that Americans want the war ended -- now -- but only three congressional Democrats voted to bring the troops out.

Republican Housemembers feel they should support their president, but how about the Democrats? DNC Chairman Howard Dean said the war in Iraq is not winnable. Of course he's correct. If you think about it, winning a war on terror is like winning the war against crime, drugs, or bad attitudes. We cannot win over the Iraqis because they won't give up. Would you? Yet we have simpletons like Jane Harman, Ellen Tauscher and Rahm Emanuel (anotherIsrael agent) who says "Howard Dean doesn't speak for me." Really? Who does speak for them -- Karl Rove?

I talk to Democrats every day, I never run into a "centrist" Democrat, everyone wants the troops out now. What the hell makes our congressional Democrats so fearful? They should be screaming about everything. Don't they know that ALL democrats are with them, along with most of the Indies? They worry that some redneck won't vote for them? Is a vote more important than a soldier's life?

Harman, Tauscher and Emanuel should face primary replacements. Next time a Democrat says,"Howard Dean doesn't speak for me," someone should smack him upside the head. With a baseball bat.

BUSH IS DUMB AS DIRT

As a lifelong Democrat, I view any Republican with suspicion, and any conservative right-wing whacko with total cynicsm. When George Bushwas initially introduced nationally, I recognized him as a phony, a liar, and a typical Repuke bozo. And a dumb one. I paid attention to what he was saying, and what he was saying was fractured English. He created a "Bushism" every time he opened his mouth.

I'm convinced Bush has never been elected to anything. I think every election he's ever won has been stolen. I think every speech he's made was written by others, every political idea he's offered has been someone else's idea.

Slate Magazine's Jacob Weisberg has collected every Bushism Bush has made. Bush has degrees from both Yale and Harvard, how did he get thos? He talks like a high-school dropout. His speech patterns betray the picture he offers. Obviously Cheney is the president and Karl Rove and Grover Norquist are directing the policy. Google Jacob Weisberg's Bushisms. See if you agree Bush is an uneducated dumbo.

PATRIOTISM

Recently, a minister on TV who, when asked if he was a Democrat or Republican, answered "Neither, I'm a Christian."

I think all ministers should consider this. Isn't there a problem with cognitive dissonance here when Christians embrace right-wing whacko patriotism? Does a Christian love his neighbor when the neighbor is a foreign person? It seems waving the flag, which symbolizes difference, to accept the teaching of the Bible which imparts inclusion to be a problem.

ANOTHER BLACK EYE

Some military types, referring to the army, said the "wheels are coming off." I can believe that, because the wheels of George Bush's deadly parade are coming off also. We Americans only need just one or two good reporters like the Washington Post's Dana Priest to peel the covers off the rotten eggs that make up Bush's policies.

The Brits are finally waking up, Bush is losing them. We Americans are getting them back, and we are waking up and getting America back. These covert "black prisons" are just another black eye for America and a repulsive smear on the US reputation. The whole human collective sees Bush as he is -- a naked pariah -- a war criminal, a psychotic murderous robot.

The whole European continent, along with Great Britain, now know Bush's cabal has operated these black cells since 9-11. Let's see how they react. Also let's see how our politicians react. Let's see if any democrat will denounce the practice. Let's see how the republicans will cover up this one.

HEIL, LORD

I was raised in a Pentecostal family. Our church was made up of believers who were obsessed with the most twilight-zone stuff you could think of. When I was about 12, I noticed we had no teachers, no doctors, no lawyers, no educated people at all in our church, leading me to think the congregation was pathetically and collectively ignorant.

They didn't play with snakes but they were close. They talked in tongues, mostly Scandinavian, since this was in Minnesota. When they greeted each other they would say "Praise the Lord" like the Nazis said, "Heil Hitler." Maybe we should greet each other with "Heil Lord" or"Heil Jesus" as the Germans greeted each other with "Praise Hitler." At my church's annual picnic, that's all one could hear -- "Praise the Lord." If someone fell down and broke his leg -- "Praise the Lord."

Thanks to the wonderful people who bombed Pearl Harbor, I escaped the nuthouse, and I haven't heard "Praise the Lord" since, but I enjoy watching Pat Robertson, with eyes closed, talking to his Santa Claus.

INTELLIGENCE

I picked up an item where Howard Fineman (Newsweek) was on the air with Don Imus. Howard has it all figured out. The Bushies underestimated the intelligence of the American people. They should have disclosed that Saddam was sitting on a great pool of oil and had big bucks to pay protection from the Osama bin Ladens of the world.

Howard thinks Bush's reasons to go to war were convoluted and too thick for the Americans to understand, and that Bush made a big mistake by not being clear. In the first place, no one can underestimate the intelligence of the American people. They're obviously too goddam dumb for words -- just look at who their president is...

Second, is the fact that Saddam was sitting on a pool of oil reason enoug to invade his country and slaughter hundreds of thousands of his people? And the words "convoluted" and "Bush" in the same thought is unthinkable. Reading the transcript of Fineman and Imus is like reading a script of Abbott and Costello. Neither Fineman nor Imus are very smart. Look at who employs them.

STILL CONFUSED

George Bush and Dick Cheney and their blood-coterie are determined to "stay the course," and I'm still trying to figure out -- what course? Bush invaded Iraq butI don't know why. Was it WMD? No, no -- there were no WMD, so we should be out of there. But we're still there. Why? Are we spreading Democracy? Please. Is it because Bush is determined to be a war president? Maybe. Oil? Maybe.

The big problem is I don't understand who we're fighting. Bush says the Iraqis will be strong enough to defend their country, I ask against whom? The Insurgents -- aren't the Insurgents all Iraqis? They're not insurgents; they're resisters. I think we're fighting resisters, and they want us to leave. Why the hell don't we leave?

I think Bush is as psychotic as his mother, but how about Hillary? How about Joe Biden? I wonder how Hillary and Joe think about this. If, like they say, they're for the war, then I think we have the right to ask why? Do they have knowledge we don't have?

How about McCain? Why does he favor the war? Why? Bushies can't even fight cleanly; they murder innocent women and children, and they do it in the most horrible way -- by using Napalm and white phosphorous. Those they don't kill, they torture to death. They're insane as hell. They all belong in a penitentiary. Life without parole...
